Since yesterday (9/30/17) very much VPN download attempts abort after one or two MB with "interrupted: network error" message. It doesn't matter if I use Opera stable or Opera dev build, but it matters to which VPN location / IP I'm connected to. Some VPN locations / IPs still work, others don't. So it's most likely a VPN server-sided update causing the problem which has been rolled out to some VPN servers (but not to all yet). It's the very same issue like the "VPN download from SSL secured servers abort" problem, but now it happens to non SSL connections too.

Opera 48 Google Maps lags
Google Maps starts in a lite mode. When turning on the full mode it becomes laggy, draggin around ,whatchin pictures or 3d scenes, everything freezes. It's not a PC problem, on previous opera worked fine. With Google Chrome works fine now too. Any ideas? anyone had the same problem?

Viewing total Opera processing power
Is there a way to view Opera's total processing power usage? For example the Windows Task Manager lists several entries for Opera; in my case 27. In the browser Shift+Esc has more detailed information, but still doesn't list the processing power as a whole.Is there a way to view the processing power usage as one number?

Problem with History
I've just come to Opera from Firefox and so far am loving it but for some reason, it doesn't save my history after I reboot the computer. (Firefox always did) When windows starts and I load Opera, I'm faced with my start page. When I check the history, if I click on "yesterday" there is nothing. Can this be rectified in the settings anywhere as I'd love to just continue with all my open tabs the next day. Thank you in advance

Hello guys, I have just started using Opera, I am very pleased so far, except one thing. On Youtube, in every single video I checked, my audio and video get desynchronised after few minutes of watching. My Opera is "clean", no addons yet. It is, of course, an exclusive problem - all other browsers do not have it. I have also noticed, that the buffering process is a bit slower then for example in Chrome, but that might be just Chrome beeing faster. Please help.

Bottom of pages missing - behind taskbar
Hi, I'm using Windows 10 64bit and have latest version of Opera - (Version: 48.0.2685.39 (PGO) - Opera is up to date) but recently I've noticed that the bottom of my page is hidden behind the taskbar. If I hit F11 I can see it all but in normal mode I can't. For example, if I open messages in Facebook, I can't see the bottom of the chat window and the emoticon menu, they are behind the taskbar unless I hit F11. The same in Gmail - the 'send' button and bottom row of the menu is hidden so it's rather annoying! I don't know if it's something I've done accidentally, or a bug. I can't find anything in settings. Zoom is set at 100% and in fact, the problem stays the same if I zoom in or out. Any ideas? TIA

Cant get Opera to access the internet
I just downloaded Opera for my old 2ndary windows XP PC, since it seems to be one of the few Browsers that can run well on it. I only have MalewareBytes installed, no firewall.
Firefox works without any problems, but when i try to access a site with opera, I get a Site Cant be Reached error. I sent into the settings/Browser window and unchecked the Use Proxy for local servers box.
Anything else I can try? I dont know what could be stopping it from seeing the internet. Appreciate any help!

Opera 48 laggy since last update- anyone else?
Is anyone else having problems with Opera 48 lagging lately? I've got a nice fresh build i5 pc running fully updated windows 7, only built 2-3 weeks ago, that was running Opera perfectly. However, since about last week Opera has become sometimes really laggy, it's not using a lot of RAM or CPU but suddenly just takes forever to load pages, and then pc goes super slow and you can barely get task manager to load or anything- reboot pc and it is aok though for another hour or 2 (or maybe less). There's no crash reporting or anything.
I considered doing a system restore to last week and it shows an Opera update on 7 Oct, which is around when the issues started, "Opera Stable 48.0.2685.39" . Has anyone else had similar issues, or can suggest alternative fixes?

[Solved]Flash plugin needs running on each page
On a forum I am on the logo at the top of the page is in FLASH there is also some flash adverts on the right too, since today (dont know if Opera as been updated today)I have to click on each of the flash blocks and click "RUN THIS PLUG-IN" to show the flash, yet when I go to another page the same flash need authorising again "RUN THIS PLUG-IN", its driving me mad :( I have looked in the SETTINGS/Websites and under the Flash section I have "Allow sites to run Flash" ticked.

Opera Built in VPN is NOT connecting
Hi Opera Expert,
I have Opera browser Version: 47.0.2631.80 (PGO) - Update stream:Stable, System:Windows 10 64-bit (WoW64) the VPN stuck on Connecting for ever and its not connected anymore, i cleared browser cash history but no use, still not connecting!
The VPN stuck on Optimal location and i cant browse other locations, stuck on it also.
Any suggestions please.

VPN is not shown on browser settings
I do not have the VPN option on my browser settings. It just disappeared. Even I reinstalled and updated, the option is not there anymore. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Can't clear history completely
Hello, I have a problem with clearing history. There are certain sites that refuse to disappear from my history, even when I clear all the personal data that are possible to clear.
The weird thing is, they do indeed disappear from history (CTRL+H menu), but they still appear as suggested adresses when I start typingin the URL/search field.
Any ideas? The only thing I was able to find online was that there should be a small X button next to every line in the adress bar which should be able to clear it from the suggestions, but I can't see it. This suggestion was valid for one of the older versions of Opera only most probably.
I'm using the latest (47) version of Opera and up-to-date Windows 10.

Google cookie - Channel ID
I use the 'Keep local data only until I quit my browser' option in the privacy settings. I've noticed recently it has been deleting all cookies when closing the browser (never used to) but there seems to be one cookie 'Google.com Channel ID' that remains every time. Does anyone know what this cookie is for and why it never gets deleted unless deleted manually?

I have the setting "Keep local data only until I quit my browser". However when I check "All cookies and site data...", there are items with Database storage and Local storage. Why isn't all local data removed when I close the browser? Can't these other forms of storage be used to track users from session to session?

FIXED !!! "Adobe Flash Player is out of date"
The fix is near the end, but I hope that reading the entire post will help for any future troubles...
I had the same problem as many others - I'm not sure when it actually started, but pages that use Flash show the error "Adobe Flash Player is out of date".
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Opera version 48.0.2685.50. When I first noticed the error I was running Flash 27.0.0.130. I upgraded to the latest Flash - 27.0.0.170, but still had the error. I've checked Turbo mode - not enabled. Privacy mode - no change. I've tried adding explicit permissions/exceptions - no change. I've cleared all cache, temp files, etc. - no change. I've restarted my PC - no change. I've reset all Opera settings to default by deleting the "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable" folder - no change.
OK, so it's probably not Opera... Read on!!!
I opened Windows Control Panel and looked at Flash Player's Updates tab and it showed 27.0.0.170 as the ActiveX version, but it still showed 27.0.0.130 for the NPAPI and PPAPI Plug-In
Versions. I uninstalled the older NPAPI and PPAPI Flash versions via "Programs and Features" (also called "Applications", "Add/Remove Programs" in other Windows versions) and reinstalled Flash.
Only the PPAPI version was reinstalled, but it now shows as version 27.0.0.170.
I went page to the problem web page, and...
IT WORKS!!!!
Note - This updated for both Opera and Chrome(?) - both of which use the PPAPI version. For other browsers, first remove the old versions of Flash to ensure that there isn't a conflict, then open the browser for which you want to enable Flash, browse to "Https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer" and deselect the optional offers, run the installer. It should detect, download, and install the proper version of Flash, based on the browser you are using for the installation. FYI - Internet Explorer uses the ActiveX version, Chrome and Opera (both are Chromium-based browsers) use PPAPI, but supposedly Google Chrome integrates and supports Flash as part of the browser "package", Firefox and Safari use NPAPI. Leaving fullscreen causes tabs to have an empty space
I use my browser maximized, I just installed Opera for the first time and decided to use it as my main browser, but discovered an annoying issue.
Every time I switch a video (or the browser itself with F11) to fullscreen and then switch back, there appears an empty bar above tabs, I have to click another tab in order to make it go away. At first I thought it caused my browser to go windowed, but that wasn't the case, here is a screenshot of what it looks like:

Deleting local cookies does not work as intended
Hi,
I've been using Opera for many years now. Since a few weeks I've spotted a problem which bugs me a lot. Whenever i delete all my browser data (strg+shift+delete, then delete anything since the installation except for passwords) Opera does not delete any local cookies. When I click "all cookies and website data" it still shows me cookies from websites i've visited before, although they should have been deleted. It does however delete them when I close Opera.
What I'd expect Opera to do is to delete EVERY browser data when I click it
My system: Windows 10 Education, 64 bit AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Biostar GT350B 16 GB RAM GeForce GTX 1080 Samsung 960 Evo 1 TB
Opera Version: 48.0.2685.50 (PGO)
What I've tried so far: -Disabled all extensions -Disabled security software -Created a new profile folder
If there's a way to fix it, I'd be glad to hear it :-)

Opera 48.0.2685.50 Snapshot Tool not taking desired snapshot

As you can see the tool seems to crop the bottom and the right side of the image improperly. It's done this since I've started using Opera which was like version 46 or 47.
Anybody else have this happen to them? Any known workarounds? I have tried increasing my capture area but it's quite difficult to get it right.

Sidebar with bookmarks. How enable in new opera or it's deleted feature?
So in old version of opera i have my bookmarks like that https://imgur.com/a/aws2A Screenshot maybe not ver accurate but you can see what i am talking cabout. It is a side bar on the left with bookmarks and bookmarks folders wich is stay like that on any tab. I new version however this https://imgur.com/a/uBrSn is the only way i can access bookmarks, this or the top panel wich is not very convenient because there is not much space. I cant find this option to open bookmarks like sidebar on the left with folders and everything and wich not go away as you changing tabs. Can you help me operaforum?

Opera update wipe all my settings and speed dial.
Opera auto-updated and wiped out all my settings (shortcuts) and speed dial. The bookmarks and history seems to be fine. Is there any way to recover my settings and speed dial?

Usage of Opera with SysInternals-Desktop doesn't works anymore on Win10
SysInternals-Desktops is the native and quick way to use different Desktops on Winodows (already before Win10). Since one Week Opera always starts at Desktop-1. Before all works fine (I've only used it at one specific Desktop)
I use current Win10.

Opera Mouse scrollng not working
Hi folks, is anyone else having problems with the mouse scrolling? When I click the middle mouse button to enable mouse scrolling, the small "four arrow" icon appears under the mouse just fine, but moving the mouse produces no movement on regular web pages. However on pages like "opera:flags" and any other internal opera page, the old "four arrow" icon in a circle appears and scrolling works just fine.
Anyone else anyone? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! :-) :-)
